Flannel

Woven in a twill construction either in a worsted (smooth) or wool (hairier) yarn. When the fabric is woven it is then ‘napped’. This is putting the fabric through a series of different bristle rollers to tease the surface of the fabric into a soft furry texture, soft and warm to the touch.
